Cheshire CCGs announce intention to merge
The four Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) that operate within Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester have announced their intention to merge into a single CCG by 2020 in order to develop more integrated care across Cheshire, pending approval from CCG governing bodies.
The ambition of this is to join up and align primary care, hospitals, other providers, commissioners, and health and social care.
As part of this, the Cheshire CCGs Joint Commissioning Committee will make recommendations to the governing bodies of West Cheshire, Vale Royal, South Cheshire and East Cheshire CCGs that they merge into one CCG to operate across Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester.
